In this video, a nutritionist representing Livestrong.com discusses why fiber is an important compenent in your diet, the benefits you can get from a high-fiber diet, plus specific foods that are full of fiber.


She says that you should consume a minumum of 25 grams of fiber per day if you're a female, and 35 grams if you're a male. Consuming more fiber will not only help you stay regulated, but also make you feel fuller, longer. Therefore, foods high in fiber can help you lose weight, as you don't eat as much. She also goes on to point out many other benefits of a high fiber diet.

This video contains excellent information in regards to maintianing optimal colon health! Not only will foods high in fiber help keep you regular, they will help you in a variety of other ways, including lowering your cholesterol and keeping you full, so you eat less and ultimately lose weight. Most of us do not get enough fiber in our diet, which can lead to constipation.


The truth of the matter is that you don't really need any of these colon cleansing products, as long as you eat high fiber foods and exercise on a regular basis. But most people consume mass amounts of fast food and processed foods, which contain very little nutritional benefit.
